We are all imperfect human beings. We all have our own insecurities and inadequacies that we beat ourselves up about. I, for example overanalyze everything, have a hard time starting projects for fear of failure, worry incessantly, and sometimes I set the smoke alarms off because I burned the dinner…again. All that being said, everyday I try to be a little better than I was the day before, but even if I am not and I end up in a puddle in my closet with a bottle of wine that is ok…tomorrow is another day and another opportunity.
This year has been difficult and challenging for everyone. As a nurse, the pandemic has hit me hard and I often feel overwhelmed and inadequate for the tasks at hand. As a Mom, I find myself juggling work and family. There is always somewhere that I have to be and something that I am supposed to be doing. At some point you have to be enough, let yourself be just enough. You don’t have to be on top of everything all of the time, somedays it is enough to be just enough.
This blog is just for us women and men that feel inadequate. Maybe we can help each other overcome by sharing our own experiences and ideas.
